Medalogix CEO: Predictive Analytics Without Clinical Judgement Is 'Irresponsible Use of

Last week, Home Health Care News highlighted widespread reports of home health therapy layoffs and visit reductions following the implementation of the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM).
While therapy-visit reductions are tied to a number of factors, some stakeholders have specifically called attention to what they see as an over-reliance on predictive analytics tools and an under-reliance on clinical judgement at some agencies. Those stakeholders include the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), among others.
Predictive analytics adding to privacy risk of Australia's data retention regime, regulator warns
Advances in predictive analytics and metadata technology are adding more privacy risks to an already problematic national data retention regime, the Australian Privacy regulator has told an intelligence and security inquiry.

Data analytics important to health and wellness - Opinion - Uticaod - Utica, NY

You might have already experienced the value of the IoMT if you have ever had a remote consult with a physician, sometimes called telemedicine. In the wearables market, devices like Fitbit and Apple Watch collect large amounts of data about heartbeat, sleep and exercise. In a future envisioned by some, data could be connected to the wearer’s electronic medical records. Analytics takes all that data and turns it into useful, actionable information to guide treatment plans.

The event was the brainchild of Jackets assistant GM Josh Flynn and The Athletic 's Alison Lukan. They did a tremendous job with organization and the set-up was highly professional.
I had three takeaways from the day: first, the hockey analytics community is highly collaborative. Many of the same names were credited in presentation after presentation, as they built their research on prior work of others. The second, related, takeaway is that while the research has come a long way, there is still so much left to uncover.
