Hot Bamboo bows to customers, opens storefront SanTan Sun News

Hot Bamboo is a relatively new Chandler restaurant offering Asian Island cuisine and it has already gained fame for creatively themed bao buns.

The restaurant has previously only been seen at local festivals as a vendor, but with customers begging for a storefront, owner Anna Heinbach gave the fans just what they have been asking for – a brick-and-mortar eatery at 980 E. Pecos Road.

"Even just in the short time we have been open, we have had many customers come in who have tried our food at a past festival," said Heinbach.

State will require cannabis storefronts, vehicles to bear QR stickers – Times-Standard

The state Bureau of Cannabis Control has proposed emergency rules requiring that cannabis retailers and transport vehicles use QR code stickers so potential customers and law enforcement can scan to check if the products are part of the regulated market.

“The emergency regulations are designed to help consumers identify licensed cannabis retail stores, assist law enforcement and support the legal cannabis market, where products such as vape cartridges are routinely tested to protect public health and safety,” the bureau announced in a statement.

Seattle offers grants to help small businesses. What about Philadelphia?

A new grant program in Seattle is helping its "micro" small-business owners stay in business. Should Philadelphia be doing the same?

It is meant to help such businesses navigate through a "destabilizing event" such as property destruction, a loss of business due to construction, raising rents, crime, a personal emergency, or some other event that reduced business income and or risked displacement of their business. In January, the city awarded grants to eight of its local businesses.
