San Francisco tax on vacant storefronts too close to call - SFChronicle.com
A San Francisco ballot measure that would tax landlords of buildings with vacant storefronts — believed to be one of the first proposals in the nation to explicitly target empty stores — was slightly leading but too close to call Tuesday night.
Under Proposition D, landlords who keep stores empty for more than six months would be subject to a vacancy tax. The measure was put on the ballot by Supervisor Aaron Peskin in an effort to curb storefront vacancies dotting San Francisco streets.

DuPont opens a storefront on chemicals portal Knowde.com
A division of chemicals giant DuPont de Nemours Inc. has joined hundreds of other chemicals suppliers with a new storefront on the industry marketplace Knowde, DuPont and Knowde said yesterday.
The DuPont storefront on Knowde.com features more than 1,300 products from DuPont Transportation & Industrial, the DuPont division that sells chemical products to customers in several markets including transportation, aerospace, electronics, healthcare, industrial and consumer markets.
