Shopping malls won’t be allowed to open, many types of salons will stay closed through
Even before Governor Andrew Cuomo held his press conference on Friday – it became clear during the morning hours what would- and would not be allowed to reopen in ‘Phase 2’.
This phase, which the Finger Lakes and Central New York were viewed as being ready to enter on Friday – was expected to allow a number of venues that previously had not been opened to begin operation.
Shopping malls had been preparing for the last two weeks to reopen when region’s hit the second phase of opening, but guidelines issued Friday morning deemed them non-essential. Stores inside malls could reopen at 50% capacity, but the common spaces – the ways patrons get around – were to remain closed through phase two.

"It's a strange feeling," said Christine Clymer, who shared an early lunch with her sister, mother and daughter on the patio of Quigley's Irish Pub in Naperville. "You know you're allowed to be doing this, but it's still an odd sensation. It doesn't feel normal yet."
"Just so we're clear on this, the virus is still out there," the governor said. "And it's still very dangerous."
Bozica "Betty" Kosanovic understands those risks, so she spent the past several days cleaning, sanitizing and reconfiguring areas of her small Elmhurst salon to maximize social distancing. Though she was required to do so by law, Kosanovic made the effort because of her clients, the longtime patrons who helped sustain her during the shutdown with prepaid appointments, donations and encouraging words that they would be back in her chair before long.
How coronavirus pandemic will change grocery shopping forever - Chicago Sun-Times
Heightened sanitation, more online ordering, plenty of meal kits and the end of the salad bar. The coronavirus will leave us with many changes, experts predict.
The salad bar, the soup bar, the olive bar. The free samples. The leisurely time spent strolling through the produce section, touching avocados to check whether they're fresh.
All of that's vanished during the coronavirus pandemic, which has turned a trip to the grocery store into a monumentally stressful experience for many shoppers.

Facebook Has a New Shopping Service. What That Means for Etsy. - Barron's
Earlier this week, Facebook announced the introduction of Facebook Shops , which will allow users to buy directly from a Facebook or Instagram page. While that might sound like trouble for Etsy , SunTrust Robinson Humphrey argues that the marketplace can hold its own against Facebook.
Analyst Naved Khan reiterated a Buy rating and $88 price target on Etsy (ticker: ETSY) Friday, writing that the company "remains well positioned in a dynamic e-commerce environment and little impact from launch of Facebook Shops." He argues that Etsy's wide array of unique offerings differentiates it from what will be available on many of the social media giant's pages, and that Etsy is making savvy investments to further widen its reach.
