"Personalization has been talked about for at least ten years now within retail ," Markus Stripf, founder and co-CEO of Spoon Guru, told FoodNavigator-USA.

Stripf said that grocery retailers must aim for the same level of personalization offered by other tech platforms, such as Spotify, which customizes an listeners' experience based on their actions.

"Those platforms learn from your interaction, and the experience gets more and more personalized and curated based on your specific needs, and we think that needs to happen for grocery," said Stripf.

The mayor of suburban Orland Park on Thursday said he believes the governor's plan to reopen the state is unreasonable and argued businesses in Orland Park can't wait much longer. NBC 5’s Patrick Fazio reports.

When will shopping malls across the Chicago area reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic? Not for awhile, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker said Thursday - a directive that the country's biggest mall owner agreed it would follow.

Pritzker was asked during his daily coronavirus briefing on Thursday about where shopping malls fit into his five-phase, region-by-region reopening plan unveiled earlier in the week.

The 23-year-old singer has found it impossible to leave his house to shop for essentials amid the coronavirus pandemic, as his fans always stop him and ask for a picture, despite rules stating everyone must stay two meters (six feet) apart.

The 'Someone You Loved' hitmaker doesn't want to put people at risk or cause a scene by being "that guy" who breaks the social distancing rules, and so has been sending his dad out to collect his shopping instead.
