LOGAN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- For sale and for rent signs, and empty storefronts line the streets of downtown Logan, but on Dingess Street Troy Brickey has built something new.

Brickey has spend three months renovating his new barbershop -- Brick's Cuts. He said he has basically built it from scratch and it is one of five new businesses in downtown Logan.
"When I saw this little spot down here I said, 'maybe I could put something here to help out downtown Logan,' " Brickey said.

Police have not said if anything was taken. Video has surfaced showing at least seven young men fleeing the store through the smashed front door.

Zales was the only store that was broken into. There is no word if the break-in was related to the robberies of two stores on McLean Avenue early this morning.
Reopening Retracted: Bay Area Businesses Again Board Up Storefronts as Looting Continues –
LOS GATOS (KPIX) — As looters hit major malls and retailers then set their sights on businesses in smaller towns, business owners across the Bay Area began to heed warnings and board up.
In Los Gatos, Palo Alto, San Mateo and Danville, many small business owners are trying to protect stores and restaurants that have already been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Destroying businesses, things that people work hard for, I don't condone that,” said Dante Tan who owns Fitnatixx in Danville. “We're just here to protect ourselves, you know? These are extra dollars that we got to spend knowing that with this COVID-19 that hit us, we're not even getting paid.”
Some businesses board up storefronts as precaution against looti
Tiffany's in Westport boarded up their storefront, and Lulu Lemon in Greenwich was also boarded up.
The Lulu Lemon in Westport also boarded up its shop ahead of a demonstration in town on Monday, but has since removed the boards.
State Senator Will Haskell tweeted at both businesses saying in part, "this is not productive. Our community is engaging in an honest, overdue and peaceful conversation about race."
In an Instagram post on Sunday Lulu Lemon says it will donate $100,000 to the Minnesota Freedom Fund.

Xbox Storefront App Rework First Look Leaked | Game Rant
Microsoft may be looking forward to the next generation of consoles and the release of the Xbox Series X, but that doesn't mean it's ignoring the present. Today a video was leaked of the new Xbox store app, codenamed Mercury, that's planned to be implemented in 2020. The storefront will presumably be used across all Xbox console platforms, from Xbox One to Xbox Series X.
Initially several screenshots from the new Xbox store app were leaked after it showed up in a listing for Xbox Insiders . However, not long after that a full video giving an extensive demo of the Xbox app was shared by Russian Twitter account WinCommunity. The footage is perhaps from that Insider beta.
Chicago salon owner speaks about reopening after vandals destroyed storefront - ABC News
Already struggling after months without business due to COVID-19, owner of Chicago's Spoil Me Hair Salon and Spa, Adel Shaw, learned vandals destroyed her storefront during Monday night's demonstrations. She was planning to celebrate the salon's reopening Wednesday.
"I received a phone call from a neighbor, he had heard the windows being smashed in," Shaw told ABC News. "I was so devastated at that moment."
It was 9:30 p.m. Monday when she got the call and raced over to her shop. She found three broken windows, but no looting, she said.

Little was born and raised in east county San Diego. In fact, years ago, his first apartment was on Lemon Avenue in La Mesa, just overlooking the very shopping center in which he organized dozens of artists to paint the plywood boards covering up storefronts damaged during Saturday's looting.
