Comcast extends coronavirus free internet for low-income customers

The Philadelphia cable giant is extending the broadband offering through the end of the year. It was initially set to expire June 30. The company cited schools possibly relying on remote learning when they reopen in the fall.

"Now more than ever, connectivity has become a vital tool for families to access educational resources for students, important news and information about their community and the world, telehealth applications, or to stay in touch with family and friends," Dana Strong, president of consumer services for Comcast's Xfinity unit, said in a statement.

Hair salons in Luzerne County get ready to welcome back customers | wnep.com

PITTSTON, Pa. — Bob Licata sprayed down the salon chairs at Hair Color Studio on Thursday evening in Pittston Township. 

He's taking his first customer as soon as he possibly can when Luzerne County enters the green phase at one minute after midnight.

"So many people were calling me, asking me, 'I want to be here first, I want to be here first,' and I started saying, 'well if you want to be first you have to come at 12:01 a.m.,' and everybody wanted to come at 12:01 a.m.," Licata said.

Dia&Co Launches Searchspring. Reports Customers Using Search 10x More Likely to Convert.

The team implemented Searchspring's Search and Category Navigation solutions on the Dia&Co site, as well as a new denim sizing quiz. The quiz helps customers to find the perfect pair of jeans by asking a series of questions about fit, color and style preferences. Based on the quiz, Searchspring added new data fields to Dia&Co's products to produce more relevant results in response to customers' answers.

As a result, visitors who engage with the site's search bar now account for 12% of the site's overall revenue, and shoppers who use Search on Dia&Co are now ten times more likely to make a purchase than those who don't.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has received hundreds of complaints from passengers whose flights were suspended or cancelled because of travel restrictions but were given credit, not refunds.

"From our perspective, from the outset, Qantas did not communicate clearly with customers about their rights and in a large number of cases, simply omitted they were entitled to a refund," the ACCC chair, Rod Sims, said in a statement on Friday.

Peloton customers complain of delays and cancellations during lockdown - Business Insider
