Acosta: Consumers mixed on when grocery shopping will return to post-pandemic normalcy
Acosta's research was gathered via online surveys using the company's proprietary shopper community between May 3 and 5, 2020, and includes comparison data from online surveys conducted between April 17 and 23, April 3 and 7, March 20 and 29, and March 6 and 12, 2020.
"Three months into the pandemic, consumers are not surprisingly seeking the light at the end of the tunnel, but not all are optimistic about, or supportive of, a quick return to normalcy due to continuing health concerns," said Darian Pickett, CEO of Acosta.

Shopping for Outdoor Coffee Tables - The New York Times
On terraces and decks, one piece of furniture is often key to anchoring a seating arrangement: the coffee table.
* * *
"It's a must," said Lee Cavanaugh, a partner at Cullman & Kravis Associates , a New York-based interior design firm. "I've seen people, to my horror, who don't have a table near a seating arrangement — a decorator's worst nightmare — and they have to put everything on the floor."
When you're selecting a coffee table, she advised, choose the materials carefully. Be aware that wood will weather over time if it's left unsealed and that urban grit has a tendency to work its way into porous surfaces. Some metal finishes, on the other hand, may be problematic in the salty air near the ocean.

For about four hours, the demonstration was peaceful from beginning to end. Protesters walking up to the overpass from nearby parking lots chatted amiably with California Highway Patrol officers at a traffic stop.
