Streator’s downtown was seeing a steady stream of pedestrian traffic Friday morning as restaurants opened for indoor dining for the first time since mid-March.
A return to some form of normalcy came with the Phase 4 reopening and Streator’s restaurants were back to their normal morning customers.
“Honestly, it’s great to see our customers again and get back to some form of normal,” said Shenaz Muratoski, who owns Al’s Place with her husband, Nick. “It’s a little hectic because we’re keeping outdoor seating for now in case customers don’t want to be indoors.”

Business, customers react to Taney County mask resolution
TANEY COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) -- On Friday, the Taney County Health Department gave a recommendation that everyone should be required to wear a mask.
The Taney County Health Department Board passed a resolution in support of universal masking at all indoor public spaces in the county. It is not a mandate, but a recommendation for citizens.
Making everyone wear a mask wouldn't change things at a place such as Silver Dollar City, as the theme park requires masks. But other places would have to make some changes.

Lowe's customers in mask brouhaha: One is judge behind order
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A Texas man turned himself in to sheriff’s deputies after he allegedly slapped another customer in a dispute over face masks in a Lowe’s store. The other customer happened to be the judge who imposed the county’s mask requirement.
Toller’s lawyer, Nico LaHood, said the account of the confrontation “was extremely overblown.”
The incident occurred Wednesday at the checkout line of a Lowe’s Home Improvement in San Antonio. The Bexar County sheriff’s office said County Judge Nelson Wolff, who was shopping there, tried to intervene when Toller berated a cashier who had told him he needed to wear a facemask. Toller allegedly hit the judge’s hand during the exchange.
