Black Diamond readies to open a storefront on Main Street in Park City | ParkRecord.com

Black Diamond Equipment, the Millcreek-based outdoors company, is preparing to open a storefront on Main Street, adding to the corporate presence on the shopping, dining and entertainment strip at a time when smaller, independently owned businesses are struggling amid the economic downturn.

The storefront is expected to debut in late August, timing the opening three months before the scheduled start of the ski season. A large sign was posted in recent days in the front of the building, 592 Main St. Black Diamond will join a series of other nationally prominent outdoors companies with a storefront on Main Street, including L.L. Bean, Patagonia and The North Face.

Dressing up downtown Freeport with artwork on empty storefronts - News - Journal Standard -

FREEPORT — Sarah Raymond, owner of Hilldale Deli in the city’s downtown, said she often gets sad when she looks at empty storefronts near her business with old signs.

One storefront looking like that used to be across from her business on West Stephenson Street. When she looks at it now, she smiles.

Local artist Linda Vietmeyer took the old storefront of what was Celia’s, added a coat of paint and added her own artistic touch to spruce up the sign to make the empty storefront inviting to the public.

Steam Now Lets Players Enter Betas, Playtests Directly From Storefront

Steam is now letting players join betas and playtests directly from their storefront. Until now, it's been an annoying process for players to join these tests, leaving many players unaware if the betas are even happening. This new way has been added alongside the old system of having to go into a game's properties in the library and opt into or sign up for any ongoing betas.

Steam has been shipping many new features for their UI over the last couple years to make content more accessible to players and to stay competitive. When the Epic Games Store launched back in 2018 , they represented Steam's first actual competition for the PC gaming market. Then once Discord added the ability to launch games , a feature they have since removed, Steam knew they had to optimize and make their platform easier to understand and prettier to look at.

This may worth something:

The popular food truck Pita My Shawarma is opening a Lawrenceville storefront

In 2018, Jason Taylor bought an old U.S. Postal Service vehicle, drove it 1,000 miles from Louisiana to Pittsburgh and converted it into the Pita My Shawarma food truck.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night keeps the determined entrepreneur from the swift completion of his appointed rounds (although the COVID-19 pandemic has slowed him down a bit).

Taylor is using his spare time to work on a brick-and-mortar restaurant, a fast-casual spot specializing in Lebanese-style shawarma. It's slated to open for indoor dining in the next month or so at 3716 Butler St. in Lawrenceville.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Domino’s Pizza in Springfield is reopening Monday after a car smashed into its storefront in May.

Delivery orders taken by the store were prepared at a separate location but the arrangement was not ideal. Now, Forest Park area pizza lovers can enjoy full service once again. The building has been completely renovated and also added a pick up window which will come in handy during the pandemic.
