NATIONWIDE — McDonald's will require all customers to wear face coverings when entering their US restaurants starting August 1 to "protect the safety" of their employees and customers.

Bringing a new type of discount store into the area is Billtown Binz, at 433 Hepburn St., where customers dig for their deals.
“The idea originated in the Midwest,” said Bob Wise, owner. “I thought, ‘there’s nothing like this around here.’ So we brought the idea back.”
On the floor space are 120 large bins filled with unsold goods from places like Target, Amazon, Walmart and Kohls, which are spaced evenly apart for social distancing guidelines, he said.
Coronavirus: Chipotle customers required to wear face masks
Chipotle previously added masks to their employees' uniforms and created a position responsible solely for directing customers, managing the dining room and sanitizing the space as guests complete their meals in areas where dine-in options are still available.
Earlier this year, Chipotle gave out bonuses totaling more than $6.5 million to employees to help support them during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Salons that have been forced to open and close multiple times over the course of the pandemic are now facing a new challenge: customers taking off without paying.
On Thursday, Top Coat Nails Salon in North Natomas moved its operation outside. But on the debut of the new setup, a group of three customers took off without paying.
Owner Liu Nguyen was able to capture the group in a snapshot that he took while documenting the salon's move outdoors. He said it was easy for the group to escape since they were already outdoors and wearing a mask to protect their identities.

AT&T reported second-quarter results Thursday, and the numbers showed customer defections across the board, including in its wireless, broadband and satellite TV businesses. But arguably its most anticipated metric was how many people signed up for its new HBO Max streaming service.
The platform , introduced in late May, attracted 4.1 million customers in its first month, the company reported; in comparison, the rival Disney+ signed up 10 million in the first 24 hours. AT&T said it hoped to have 50 million HBO Max and HBO customers by 2025.
