Acosta Finds Grocery Shopping Once a Week or More Has Decreased by 20% From Pre-COVID-19 Levels
"With concern levels remaining high and rising in hot spots around the country, most consumers are choosing to stay home, even as many non-essential businesses reopen," said Darian Pickett , CEO of Acosta. "Shopping frequency has drastically declined since March, and with three-quarters of shoppers fearing another shutdown due to the second wave of the virus, shoppers will continue to eat at home for the foreseeable future.

T here's a new theory that says the way someone handles a shopping cart provides insight into that person's character, and more significantly, what kind of citizen they'd make.
The Shopping Cart Theory goes something like this: Do you take your cart to the designated shopping cart corral, or leave it randomly in the parking lot? Taking your cart to the corral is the right thing to do — it won't roll off in the wind to dent another vehicle and it eases work for underpaid shopping cart wranglers.

Walmart holiday shopping: Stores to close Thanksgiving 2020
In a memo to employees, Walmart U.S. president and CEO John Furner announced another bonus for employees and that stores will break from tradition and close for the holiday, which usually is the start of the holiday shopping season and Black Friday weekend.
"We know holiday shopping will be different this year, and we will be managing sales events differently," Furner wrote. "Our best ideas come from our associates, and this year we have decided to close our stores on Thanksgiving Day – November 26."
