FORT WALTON BEACH – If Ryan Ford makes one thing clear, it is that Parlor Doughnuts does not serve the normal doughnut.
The general manager said the Airstream parked in downtown Fort Walton Beach in front of its future storefront offers 20 flavors of its "famous layered doughnuts."
"We are not your typical big chain doughnuts, gas station doughnuts – that’s not us," Ford said. "We have a unique product, our ‘famous layered doughnuts.’ The reason we named it that is our doughnut is layers of dough stacked in between butter. Whenever you fry that, it makes a crispy outside crunch when you bite in. Whenever you’re done with your bite, you can look inside and see the layers of stacked dough.

Lucid Motors Plots 20 Storefronts By 2021 - The Truth About Cars
On Wednesday, Lucid Motors announced plans to open 20 retail locations and service centers across North America by the end of 2021. They’ll be called “Lucid Studios,” helping the company herald in what it considers “new standards for sustainable transportation” via the sale of luxury vehicles.
That said, it’s always prudent to take any announcements from an automaker with a grain of salt. That’s doubly true if they happen to be in their infancy. Elio Motors had (has?) a pretty sound business plan, and we all know how that turned out.

Window shopping: Whyte Avenue Art Walk shifts from sidewalks to storefronts for 25th anniversary
The Whyte Avenue Art Walk will still offer art lovers an attention-grabbing sidewalk stroll this year, but window shopping will replace the usual concrete-sprawled commerce.
The annual celebration of local artists is moving indoors for its 25th anniversary, showcasing work in storefront windows to comply with social distancing guidelines.
Scaled down and far less bustling than previous editions, this year's version features 22 artists — fewer than the Art Walk's first year — spread across 18 Old Strathcona businesses through July 30. The collaboration helps artists display their work, while also boosting businesses that have been impacted by the pandemic.
