NJ man charged with breaking Union Township storefront windows

According to police, detectives recognized a pattern of large display windows being broken on various businesses at Millburn Mall.

In response, members of the Union Township Police Department's Street Crimes Unit began an overnight surveillance of the mall area. About 12:50 a.m. July 2, Officer Will Young spotted a man emerge from the shadows and throw a large rock through the front window of the Bottle Crown Liquor Store, police said.

The man turned and ran away with officers chasing, but Young was able to capture the man on Vauxhall Road following a short foot pursuit.

Rebecca Muller, a member of the cooperative gallery and a visual artist, said since the start of the pandemic, the gallery has been experimenting with ways to showcase art without patrons seeing the art in person, such as by publishing daily art posts on Instagram.

Black Family-Owned Vegan Ice Cream Brand Wins Baltimore Storefront Competition | VegNews

Vegan ice cream brand Cajou Creamery was recently selected as the winner of a storefront competition, allowing the company to open its first brick-and-mortar location in Baltimore, MD. Sponsored by the Market Center Merchants Association and property developers Poverni Sheikh and Charles Street Development Corp., the contest invited small businesses to apply for a year of free rent in one of three spaces ranging from 664 to 779 square feet in size.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Dwight and Nicole Foster, Cajou offer handcrafted almond and cashew ice cream that is free of chemicals, artificial flavors, and fillers, in globally inspired flavors such as Horchata, Baklava, Mexican Cacao, and Kulfi. In the last two years, the company has grown from a home kitchen to a commercial kitchen and is now sold in Baltimore City’s most popular farmer’s markets, gourmet grocers, restaurants, and hotels.

FORT WALTON BEACH – Alyssa Jamieson is on the brink of checking a task off of her "things to do before I turn 30" list, opening her own women’s clothing store.

The Fort Walton Beach resident launched ClasSea Chic Boutique exclusively online four years ago, but recently found a space in downtown Fort Walton Beach.

Snow Cove in Springfield closes storefront

A summertime destination in Springfield is closing their storefront due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Unfortunately we are closing the storefront this year,” Micah Level, owner of Snow Cove said. “We won’t be able to operate properly. With only one door to our space, we would only be able to allow one person in the store at a time due to COVID-19.”

Snow Cove, a shaved ice shop, was located on South Fountain Avenue inside the Clark County Heritage Center building.
