DENVER -- A colorful storefront is making people stop and take a second look, and that's exactly what the artists behind this installation want. Posters in the window promote a message of kindness and quote the king of kindness, Mr. Rogers.
"I was personally very inspired by Fred Rogers, I have been for a long time and after reading some of his writings, I kind of latched onto the idea of kindness and radical honesty and decided to go that direction," said K Vuletich, one of the artist involved in the project.

FORT VALLEY, Ga. — A Fort Valley bakery now has as storefront, but what they sell might not be the type of baked goods you're used to.
"We're not just your regular bakery," said owner Hamidah Sharif. "We're actually a 100% sugar-free bakery."
Sweet Valley Bakery and Farmstead originally opened about a year and a half ago, but they only took mail orders for cakes and pies online.
Now, Sharif has a physical location for the bakery at 728 Aldridge Road, where people can pick up sugar-free treats in person.

A bakery that formerly called Gastonia home said it should be ready to open in its new Dallas digs next month.
Cake Me Away Bakery owner Brittany Pressler said the bakery's new storefront, at 120 W. Trade St. right next door to the new Sammy's Restaurant & Pub of Dallas, is set to debut in mid-September.
For Pressler and company, the new storefront has long been in the works and represents a return to normalcy after her company's last location, Chantilly's on Union Road, announced it was closing its doors for good in May.

AKRON, Ohio -- Face masks get an artistic makeover in Mask-R-Aid, a new exhibit and art project put on by Curated Storefront, an organization in Akron that focuses on bringing exhibitions to empty storefronts downtown.
The exhibit has taken over the window displays on the north side of the Polsky building at 12 University Avenue, and will be on view through Sept. 25. A few dozen masks are displayed, featuring masks made to look like hands, monsters, dog faces and more. Some masks utilize unique materials. One is made of astroturf while another is made out of rice.
