'Visit Florida' attempts to keep residents in-state with new ad campaign

It’s no secret that Florida’s economy relies on tourism. But due to people canceling their vacations because of the coronavirus pandemic, the state of Florida has lost somewhere in the neighborhood of $2 billion and countless jobs.

But Visit Florida is trying to do their part to keep residents spending in-state as part of a new ad campaign. Fishing Captain John Gauntt believes their plan is working.

Gauntt runs Day 5 Fishing Charter on Fort Myers Beach. “It was an awesome beautiful day on the water,” he said.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — New Jersey is ready to push a little harder to get people to get tested for coronavirus with a new media campaign.

Commercials are running on radio stations, targeting minority communities across the state. Paired with cable TV, billboard and social media advertising, Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli hopes to get a specific message out.

"The campaign, 'For Each Other, For Us All,' reinforces that we are all in this together," she said. "What one person does or doesn't do can impact another, and we must work together to protect not just ourselves but our families and our community at large to get through this pandemic."

If you are a public leader, every day you have to convince those you lead that they follow you for a reason.

So, in the case of Hawaii’s state government, with our health in jeopardy, it was a mystery why there hadn’t been a full-bore communication strategy about wearing a mask.

Joe Biden Announces Elections Ad Buy Totaling $280 Million - The New York Times

Joseph R. Biden Jr .'s campaign announced a $280 million fall advertising blitz on Wednesday, outlining plans for $220 million in television and $60 million in digital ads across 15 states in the lead-up to the November election.

The ad reservation, which will begin on Sept. 1, is by far the biggest of the 2020 race by either campaign and is a sign of the swift turnabout in Mr. Biden's finances, as both small and large donors have rallied behind him since he became the presumptive Democratic nominee against President Trump .

Sanders supporters launch six-figure ad campaign explaining why they're voting for Biden | TheHill

"Donald Trump is waging a war on truth, on decency, on our planet, and on working people. For the sake of everything we care about, we have to get him out of the White House in 2020," the group said on its website. "As progressives and leftists, we are not going to minimize our disagreements with Joe Biden. But we're also clear-eyed about where things stand: supporting the Democratic nominee in swing states is the only means we have to defeat Trump."

"If Biden wins, we'll be at his door on day one, demanding the kinds of structural reforms that advance racial, economic, and environmental justice. But before that, it's clear what we have to do: This November, we have to #VoteTrumpOut in swing states."
