Items That Sell on eBay, Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace | WTOP

As cases of COVID-19 spread across the nation in the spring, Bob Moulton decided it was best to close his business, National Pawn, to walk-in sales. Although pawnshops were deemed essential in North Carolina and could remain open, Moulton didn’t want to risk the health of customers or employees at his 19 locations.

However, he also didn’t want to lay off any workers, so he had employees start listing items for sale on sites such as the Facebook Marketplace. Items that were sold were then delivered to customers via curbside pickup.

Many things are taking place:

A spike in long-term unemployment is looming - Marketplace

It will soon be six months since the COVID-19 pandemic slammed into the U.S. economy. In March and April, 17 million Americans lost their jobs and became unemployed in the first wave of pandemic layoffs.

As of July, according to the BLS monthly jobs report , only 6.7 million — or 40% — of the newly unemployed were working again. As job growth continues to slow in the economic recovery, and workers who were initially put on temporary layoff or furlough are permanently laid off by their employers, millions of Americans face the prospect of falling into long-term unemployment.

The run on products in aluminum cans during the pandemic isn't exactly like what we saw with toilet paper . But John Stanton at Saint Joseph's University said that's not a bad analogy.

Admitad Launches the Marketplace

When developing the platform, the Admitad team drew on the experience of the AdGoal company acquired in 2019, or rather its subnetwork business model. More than 35,000 advertisers are currently connected to the Marketplace through 60 partner networks. Their total turnover through the marketplace amounted to €1.3 bn in just under three quarters of 2020.

There used to be three main problems in subnetworks: advertisers could not see exact traffic sources, could not choose publishers and types of advertising, and sometimes shut down the whole affiliate program due to violations of just one publisher. You had to contact subnetworks personally to deal with such issues, which increased the amount of administrative work. For advertisers, it was difficult to work with subnetworks.

LevelTen Energy flips the switch on global PPA marketplace – pv magazine USA

For corporates with a global footprint, there is now a single place to view and compare the risk and value of each PPA available in North America and Europe.

LevelTen Energy has formally launched the world's first global liquid marketplace for power purchase agreement (PPA) offers.

To spearhead this next phase of its European expansion, LevelTen has hired Flemming Sørensen, an industry veteran with 20 years of experience who most recently served as Ørsted's head of PPA origination. "Having been a corporate buyer, I experienced firsthand how difficult it is to procure renewable energy, especially in different countries, each with their own market dynamics," said Sørensen, LevelTen's new vice president of Europe in Madrid.

Rates to decrease in Delaware Affordable Care Act Marketplace | Dollars & Sense |

In a year when the nation's attention is firmly focused on healthcare and its costs, Delaware Insurance Commissioner Trinidad Navarro this week announced another reduction in rates on the Delaware Health Insurance Marketplace.

Despite insurer costs related to COVID-19 testing and treatment, Navarro negotiated an average decrease of 1 percent in health insurance rates. Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware, which offers the state's Affordable Care Act health plans, initially submitted a reduction of 0.5 percent. The commissioner's final rate announcement came after an independent actuarial review and public comments on the insurer's proposal.
