Rams trim roster to 52 at final cut, leave room for shopping | Sports | smdailyjournal.com

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Rams left space in their final roster cutdown to go shopping on the NFL waiver wire this weekend.

The Rams waived nine players on Saturday while also placing defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson on the reserve/non-football injury list and putting linebacker Travin Howard on injured reserve.

Coach Sean McVay confirmed the Rams aren't done putting together their group for the upcoming season.

"We'll get a chance to look at all these teams' waiver wires to see who comes available," McVay said. "We always kind of knew that we were going to have that spot to give with what we did with A'Shawn Robinson. We had that in our back pocket to at least have that one spot if there was somebody we were interested in claiming."

Take the first step towards building real wealth by signing up for our comprehensive guide to real estate investing.

In New York City, which is known for its numerous high-end shopping districts, rents are already falling in areas that are generally synonymous with luxury retail. And the fear is that the trend won't be limited to New York alone, but rather, it'll impact notable shopping areas throughout the country.

During 2020's second quarter, 16 major shopping corridors in New York City saw a decline in rent, with the average cost per square foot declining to $688. That's the first time since 2011 that prices fell below $700 per square foot, representing an 11.3% drop from just a year prior.

Eagles Shopping Alshon Jeffery

Jeffery is not on track to be ready for Week 1; he spent training camp on Philadelphia’s active/PUP list. While it is not certain the 30-year-old veteran will start the season on on the reserve/PUP — which would shelve him for the first six weeks — he is also owed $9.91MM in guaranteed salary.

While Jeffery fought through injuries to post productive seasons in 2017 and ’18, en route to his Eagles extension, he finished last season with just 43 catches for 490 yards. Injuries limited him to 10 games in 2019.
