For some people, such work is a full-time job; others see it as a side hustle — one where the hourly pay can be considerably higher than the going rate for, say, dog walking or bartending. Plus, it doesn't require leaving your dorm room or apartment.
"Many sex workers now perform part or all of their labor in an online environment," Angela Jones, a sociologist, noted in a 2016 academic paper, "I Get Paid to Have Orgasms," published by the University of Chicago's Signs Journal of Women in Culture and Society . In other words, sex work has been a largely virtual occupation for years.

Pentimento has been doing its Italian thing pretty steadily since it opened in 1994 in the Stony Brook Village Center. Chef-owner Dennis Young has been overseeing the mostly Italian kitchen (although, starting in 2014, he drafted Massimo Fedozzi and then Chelsea Taylor to handle the day-to-day cooking) and the bar has become one of the town's favorite watering holes.

For 18-year-old Isaiah Smith, it was a way of transferring pent-up energy even though it was dark outside and the day was nearly done. But in the case of his girlfriend, Kiera Manchester, it was nervous fidgeting as they sat together near the entrance of Artistic Creations Custom Tattoo and Piercing.
Marketplace: Two judges honored for their service
Two area judges have been honored by the Indiana Supreme Court for their commitment to higher education and long-time service.
Bartholomew Circuit Judge Kelly Benjamin was honored for completing 120 hours of continuing education and received a certificate from the Indiana Office of Court Services. The program enhances legal knowledge and improves personal and professional development.
Jennings Circuit Judge Jonathan Webster was honored for 24 years of service on the bench. Trial judges are commonly elected to a six-year term, therefore a trial judge receiving this certificate has been elected more than four times.
Workspace marketplace helps businesses hire and rent extra capacity - Tamebay
A first-of-it’s-kind Workspace marketplace known as Occupyd is helping businesses monetize their professional spaces by renting them out to other businesses who could use the extra capacity at times when they would otherwise be empty.
According to reports , the company is said to be helping businesses continue to grow by taking advantage of unused space that others could use to provide income. As an example, if a kitchen closes for the day at 3pm they can rent the space out to a business or entrepreneur who runs evening catering. This new marketplace truly connects businesses by letting them set their own rules, terms, contracts and deposits whilst receiving ongoing support from the platform.
Immunity for social media platforms is challenged - Marketplace
Platforms like Facebook or Twitter or even a dating app aren't, for the most part, held liable for the terrible things their users might say or do. And, on the other hand, they aren't generally legally liable for taking down whatever they want.
The Department of Justice — and others on Capitol Hill — would like to change that, though its unlikely Congress would take them up right now.
Internet companies have immunity in two ways. First, if you post something illegal on Facebook like defamation, Facebook isn't legally liable, with certain exceptions. Second, if you post something legal on Facebook, and it gets taken down, Facebook isn't legally liable if you're mad.
