CHARLOTTE — PCI Pal, a secure payment solution provider based in Charlotte, conducted a study that shows that millions of Americans have officially become online shoppers, which means data security and customer experience online will be more important than ever this holiday season.
PCI Pal's study showed that over 70 percent of respondents plan to continue shopping online for some or most of their shopping once the COVID-19 pandemic is over. This study shows a behavioral shift that is wide in scale and will change the online shopping scene.
PayPal to allow cryptocurrency buying, selling and shopping on its network | Reuters
LONDON (Reuters) - PayPal Holdings Inc PYPL.O joined the cryptocurrency market on Wednesday, allowing customers to buy, sell and hold bitcoin and other virtual coins using the U.S. digital payments company's online wallets.
PayPal customers will also be able to use cryptocurrencies to shop at the 26 million merchants on its network starting in early 2021, the company said in a statement.

Planning to wait until Black Friday to start your holiday shopping? You might want to reconsider, according to experts. The holiday shopping season is starting much earlier this year, as retailers attempt to compensate for a decline in brick-and-mortar shopping and a change in consumer behavior amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Not only did a recent Coresight Research survey find that more than 25% of shoppers expect to start holiday shopping earlier than usual in 2020, but Amazon has also confirmed that it will start its Black Friday deals early, hinting that the sale could begin even weeks ahead of the day itself. Other retailers are following suit, like Home Depot, for instance, who announced that its holiday sales will start on November 8.

Amazon To Pay Consumers For Their Shopping Data | PYMNTS.com
Amazon has launched a new program to gain information about users' purchasing activity beyond on its own website, a post from the eCommerce giant states, through monetary incentives.
Named the Amazon Shopper Panel, it will pay users in exchange for the data and answering some short surveys.
Participants will reportedly earn as much as $10 per month if they share data on receipts for purchases not made on Amazon. The money can go toward an Amazon balance or a charitable donation.
Clothing, accessory shop Versona opens at Westland Shopping Center
Versona, a women's retailer selling clothing, accessories and more opened its doors late last month in a space on the south side of the Westland Shopping Center at 35000 Warren.
The shop marks one of the bigger retailers to recently locate in the mall, which has experienced plenty of stores close in recent years. Even with the challenges facing retail in the current economic climate, store manager Kyrra Faison said they've seen plenty of excited customers looking to try out something new of all ages.
