A favorite Sioux Falls bakery is about to re-open a retail storefront after spending more than a year and a half focusing on wholesale.
Breadico is set to open Wednesday in the Wedge shopping center at 6219 S. Western Ave. in southwestern Sioux Falls.
The new Breadico will focus strictly on baked goods after splitting off its pizza into its own brand, Pizza di Paolo. Breadico's retail bakery will have no dine-in space but will have bread and other bakery items for purchase, owner David Napolitano said.

The Borough Assembly unanimously passed three resolutions on Oct. 1 which award up to $335,000 to certain year-round, local businesses. The money to fund the grants will come from municipality sales tax.
The resolutions comprise Skagway Normal Operations for Wintertime (SNOW), designed to help essential businesses "maintain their traditional presence in the community" despite the financial losses of COVID-19.
The original version of the program was voted down in the Sept.19 assembly meeting over disagreement of whether fuels stations, newspapers and salons, which might not have a traditional storefront, should be included.

Moe's Fresh Market, St. Thomas' locally-owned-and-operated chain of upscale grocery stores, will open its third storefront on Friday, Oct. 9, at The Shops at Yacht Haven Grande, offering a new face to the island’s gourmands, oenophiles, sailors, yachtsmen, charters and provisioners.

EAST MOLINE, Ill. — Rehab Hair Lounge is opening Tuesday, October 6th in downtown East Moline, and first-time business owner Stephanie Lampe says she's ready to take on her own place after about 10 years in business.
"(I like) just being able to be artistic and creative," she says. "It's not boring. It's different everyday.
Her decision to open up shop, with two close friends and peers, was almost by chance after scrolling past the open storefront listing on Facebook. The storefront has been empty for over a year, but now Lampe put her own spin on the place.
