Customers under IRS audit after local company prepared their tax returns

SANFORD, Fla. – A tax preparation company that promises to get customers the "maximum refund" is the target of multiple complaints alleging employees entered erroneous financial information on clients' federal income tax returns.

Several customers of Neighborhood Advance Tax have been audited by the Internal Revenue Service in recent months and must now pay back thousands of dollars in undeserved tax refunds, News 6 has learned.

PG&E Working to Restore Power to Customers in Areas Affected by Glass Fire – NBC Bay

PG&E is working to reduce fire risk and restore gas and electric services in the areas affected by the Glass Fire in Napa and Sonoma Counties, according to the utility.

As of Monday evening, approximately 3,800 of PG&E's customers in Napa County and 650 customers in Sonoma County remained without power, either due directly to the fire or firefighters' request of proactively turning off the power for safety.

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) Some utility customers could be at risk of having their services shut off after a statewide ban on disconnections expires at midnight. Regulators say there are steps people can take to prevent that from happening. 

Protections for customers struggling to pay the bills during the coronavirus pandemic were first put in place in mid-March. They were subsequently extended four times to allow lawmakers to pass a long-term solution.

Customers of food delivery app Chowbus had their home addresses leaked.

The hack only affected US users, Chowbus told Australian publication The RiotACT . But the site reported that Australian users were also included in the hack. The delivery service only launched operations in the country on September 30.
