October 9, 2020 – West Bend, WI – The signs have been ordered and there will soon be a fresh look for the storefront at 210 N. 18th Avenue in West Bend.
“We're thrilled to open a store in Wisconsin again,” said Simona Ebner marketing manager for Pizza People, Inc. “It has been a few years and we're happy to come back to our roots as a Wisconsin-based company. West Bend is the perfect fit for us and we are so excited to be a part of this community.”

“We recognize that now, more than ever, we have to think of our local merchants first when shopping. This event is providing the safety for them to host a sale event without a large crowd gathering and compromising anyone’s health and safety,” she said. “We have been thinking of a way to have a large-scale shopping event with physical distancing and this event came together.”

Lynbrook police and firefighters responded to the scene at 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 1. One of the vehicles in the accident, a Mercedes, jumped the curb and smashed into the storefront window of House of Beauty, at 541 Merrick Road. The car was wedged in the window with the driver’s door blocked by the sidewalk street lamppost.
Firefighters and police officers teamed up to push the vehicle back a few feet so the driver could climb out. Under the command of Chief Michael Brooks, they then removed the store’s smashed window and its framing so that a tow truck could pull the vehicle back out.

Weis Markets has begun rebuilding its supermarket in Gap that was heavily damaged by fire last Nov. 24. A spring 2021 opening is scheduled.
According to Weis, the rebuilt store will have an upgraded storefront, a larger produce department, a larger selection of organic produce and groceries, and an expanded in-store café offering more than 1,050 kinds of beer and wine.
