Gwinda Kelly, founder of Kelly's Hilltop Goats, liked to give her loved ones homemade gifts. She has a unique trade: She makes self-care products with milk from her Zanesville farm's goats.

That hobby turned into a business in 2018 when word of her products spread by word of mouth throughout the community. But the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered the doors of her storefront downtown earlier this year.
The Zanesville native has since moved her business to the basement of her farmhouse and accepts orders and appointments. But soon, she'll have another shop of her own, right on the farmland where her products come from.

Haunted storefront windows adorn historic EOH block in Earlville, NY
The Earlville Opera House, Black Cat Antiques & Gifts and all their Haunted House volunteers are sad to report the annual Haunted House has been canceled this year.
But Dode Page, proprietor of Black Cat Antiques & Gifts and her husband Charlie were excited for the spooky event as 2020 is its 12th year anniversary. It was going to be the scariest Haunted House ever - and they had more than a dozen people leave screaming last year. So to celebrate this year, in lieu of cancelation of the actual Haunted House, they've decorated a total of eight storefront windows along the historic Earlville Opera House block.

Flashy Flamingo Revitalizes Pulaski Storefront – Oswego County Today
PULASKI, NY – It all started with an empty storefront window. Bonnie Finnerty saw this emptiness as an opportunity to help make her hometown a little more attractive, and this effort led to a new business venture.
"I suggested decorating the empty window to some friends, and we gathered together to create a beautiful space for everyone to enjoy," Finnerty said.
The seasonally themed window dressings garnered a lot of attention in the village, with residents wondering what was coming next in the empty downtown retail space. Occupied for 60 years by Byrne Dairy, and subsequently left vacant for five years when the store relocated, the empty space needed quite a bit of cleaning and remodeling when Finnerty and her husband, Tom, began to visualize the Fancy Flamingo filling the void and creating a new business for them to nurture.

After closing her San Francisco chocolate shop in June, Hahn says she wasn’t planning to open another storefront until Julie Young, a longtime customer and developer of The Didion apartments at 24th & J streets asked her to fill a recently vacant storefront, a former auto-body shop next to the shiny new housing complex.
