PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) - Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has signed an endorsement deal with Gatorade.

Lillard's first ad campaign will be for one of Gatorade's newest brands, BOLT24, and it is set to debut this month.

There are two kinds of BOLT24, one called ANTIOXIDANT with vitamins A and C; The other, called ENERGIZE, has caffeine.

"It is new now, but there will come a time when BOLT24 is a well-known thing. I saw it as an opportunity to be tied to that history," Lillard said.

Liberal group running Grinch-themed ads targeting Loeffler, Perdue | TheHill

The ad takes aim at the senators — dubbed "Looting Loeffler and Chicken Perdue" — and highlights the controversies surrounding their stock purchases.

Both lawmakers came under fire earlier this year for unloading seven figures in stocks after a Senate members-only coronavirus briefing on Jan. 24. Loeffler has denied wrongdoing, and an official for Perdue has said he did not attend the meeting.

"They bought stocks that would rise, sold stocks that would fall. It could be their hearts were two sizes too small," says the narrator of the ad.

Ad messages for Perdue-Ossoff and Loeffler-Warnock campaigns insult

Every morning, I awake to news radio on the smartphone. I get up, slip the still-playing makeshift radio into a sweatshirt pocket and walk to the kitchen to start the coffee. I then backtrack to the bathroom, snap on the light and check my reflection in the mirror.

More: Georgia, if you're listening, ignore conservatives peddling socialist Senate hallucinations

This is a new morning ritual prompted by the constant airing of campaign ads for Georgia U.S. Senate candidates. I hear two or three of them in the minutes between when that alarm goes off and I enter that bathroom. And given the shallow innuendo the campaigns and the political action committees are shoveling in those promos, I can only assume they think my IQ rivals my waistband size (36), if not my shoe size (9.5).

The Health and Human Services department has scrapped a planned ad campaign featuring celebrities discussing Covid-19, a senior HHS official told a congressional oversight panel in a letter shared with POLITICO .

The abandoned $15 million contract with Atlas Research, part of a larger $300 million taxpayer-funded campaign aimed at "defeating despair" over the pandemic, was conceived by a close political ally of President Donald Trump this summer. It was met with outrage from Democratic lawmakers, who charged it was an attempt to boost lagging public opinion of Trump's coronavirus response ahead of the election.

Governor Charlie Baker on Monday unveiled a new state campaign to encourage people to maintain COVID-19 precautions, so they can return to many of their cherished pre-pandemic pastimes with friends and relatives sooner rather than later.

"It's a reminder that we must continue to fight so we can get back to the things we love to do," he said at a State House news conference.
