With 2020 turning into the year of the B2B marketplace thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, buyers are finding that the value of marketplaces extends beyond the convenience of purchasing online in a safe environment when travel to a physical marketplace doesn't always make sense.
The reasons buyers cite for turning to online marketplaces involve ways that make their jobs easier, including the ability to see supplier reviews and ratings, use sophisticated search engines, track orders, and review invoices.

Cardinal Cushing teens, adults open three-store MarketPlace on Route 53
HANOVER — Homemade Christmas ornaments, gently used clothing and fresh pastries are just a sample of what's available to shoppers at a new three-store building called the MarketPlace on Route 53.
A project five years in the making, the MarketPlace includes a coffee and pastry shop called The Cushing Café, a gift shop called Unique Boutique, and Take 2, a thrift store.
The MarketPlace is part of the Cardinal Cushing Centers campus and, pending approval from the state education department, will be staffed by teens and adults with intellectual disabilities.
