With new storefront, Mountain View's 'candy lady' takes sweets business to the

"The sweetart lollipops, I like the smaller ones, I almost ate the whole bag so I know that was a problem," she said. Those bring back memories from her childhood of always making sure to get some out of the bubblegum machine at the grocery store. But Simms is also a "taffy person," she loves hard candy, and of course, there's chocolate, especially if it's got caramel in it.

Covering things in chocolate is what got Simms started on her candy business, Sweet Creations Lollipop Boutique.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Wednesday the Louisville Urban League announced a new partnership with Thorntons for a not-for-profit storefront at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center in West Louisville. 

According to a release, the project is designed to kick-start economic development and revitalization of this area of the company's hometown city.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for us," Louisville Urban League Executive Director Sadiqa Reynolds said at the announcement.

Manhattan Chipotle Workers Bombarded By Ginormous Rats, Storefront Overrun - Gothamist

An army of blood-thirsty and guac-hungry rats are chewing their way through a Manhattan Chipotle, according to freaked out workers who say management failed to act even after they were bitten.

The "gruesome" rodents have battered the fast-casual chain's 4009 Broadway location in Washington Heights for weeks, the NY Post first reported . To date, four employees there say they've been bitten.

Despite repeated complaints, workers say Chipotle did nothing, leaving them no choice but to fight back against the vermin with brooms, boxes and their feet.

Juvenile charged in chase that flipped MPD vehicle, smashed storefront

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Montgomery police have charged one of the people involved in Tuesday's vehicle pursuit .

Police say they chased a stolen vehicle that refused to pull over Tuesday afternoon. During the chase, an unmarked MPD vehicle overturned and the officer sustained minor injuries.

The suspect vehicle crashed into an unoccupied store on Carter Hill Road near Mulberry Street. Four people were taken into custody.

Police say they charged a juvenile with first-degree receiving stolen property, reckless endangerment, and attempting to elude.
