SAN JOSE, Calif. , Jan. 4, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Venmo has today announced that it is introducing a new Cash a Check feature in the Venmo app for select customers, enabling Venmo's community to access a quick, easy and secure way to cash paper checks. The new feature will allow select Venmo customers the ability to cash printed, payroll and government checks directly from the Venmo app.
Eligible Venmo customers who may receive a government stimulus paper check in the coming weeks will be able to use this new feature to have their stimulus checks sent directly into their account with Venmo, typically within minutes.

Food service establishments have for the last six weeks been operating at up to 50% of licensed capacity, not to exceed 150 people. Starting Friday, those businesses will be allowed to operate at 65% capacity, not to exceed 200 people. Banquet, ballroom and event venues, which have been limited to 25% capacity, will be able to start operating at 50%.
Other rules will remain in place, such as requiring at least 6 feet between individual parties and masks to be worn except when eating or drinking, and providing service to seated customers only.

Southern California Edison is reporting power outages affecting nearly 1,000 customers in the Bixby Knolls area this afternoon.
As of 12:04 p.m., SCE it is still investigating the cause of an outage in the area of Cartagena Drive between California and and Orange avenues that is affecting 879 customers north and west of Carson Street and east and west of Orange Avenue, said SCE spokesman David Song. Another nearby outage near Atlantic Avenue and Roosevelt Road is affecting another 87 customers.

T-Mobile has told some customers of a "security incident" in which a malicious party "may have impacted some of your T-Mobile account information."
"We immediately started an investigation, with assistance from leading cybersecurity forensics experts, to determine what happened and what information was involved," T-Mobile states in the notice. "We also immediately reported this matter to federal law enforcement and are now in the process of notifying impacted customers."
