The total number of active cases in Cy-Fair reached 8,323 on Jan. 18, which is the highest number of active cases the community has had at any given time since the start of the pandemic, according to county data.

Just a few days ago, we shared that a giant red M&M was added to the signage on the new M&M’s Store facade . Today, three new additions were made to the storefront at Disney Springs: yellow, red, and orange M&Ms.

As there are many colors of M&M candies, the vibrant additions to the facade won’t be stopping there.

There are still vacant spots left on this side of the facade. These are prepared for the remaining light-up M&M decorations.

Novak Construction's John Novak Buys Loop Retail Storefront

Novak Construction Company founder John Novak picked up a large retail storefront property in the Loop, seeing the city's down market as a buying opportunity.

The purchasing group, led by Novak, paid $24.5 million for the 43,000-square-foot space at 162 North State Street, according to Crain's. It's part of a trio of retail properties that the School of the Art Institute of Chicago marketed for sale in 2019, the report noted. Block 37 mall, which is at the base of Morguard North American Residential REIT's luxury apartment tower, is nearby.

Teal House Bakery Opens Storefront on South Congress - Eater Austin

South Austin Coffee and baked goods truck Teal House Bakery is expanding to a storefront on South Congress later this year. The new cafe will open at 2304 South Congress Avenue (in the former location of New India , which closed in 2018) in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood starting on Saturday, January 30.

Phillips started Teal House with his family out of their teal house in 2016. Thus, when looking for a space, he wanted it to feel like home, and Phillips feels they have found that in this building.

Bridgewater Gift Shop Shuts Down Storefront | CKBW

The Yellow Feather Gifts & Crafts shop next to No Frills has closed its doors to in-person sales.

Announced in a Facebook post , the storefront has shut down “Due to the uncertainty of 2021.”

The shop has instead moved completely online and features a full online catalogue of items to buy and order.

A Facebook page for the shop has been set up to showcase their items, and curbside pickup is available to those ordering.

Historic Zoning Commission Approves Facade Renovations | Local News | greenevillesun.com

Several facade renovations for a building on South Main Street were approved Tuesday by the Greeneville Historic Zoning Commission.

The commission approved the addition of signage to the storefront windows, restoration of its entryway, repair of upstairs windows and repainting of its awning, cornice and window casings for the building at 127 S. Main St., which is being renovated for the McAfee and McAfee Law Office.

Plans are to add signage featuring the office's logo to the storefront windows of the building, one of its owners, Jessica McAfee told the commission. An idea is also being explored of allowing local businesses to display some of their merchandise in the storefront windows on a rotating basis, she said.

Mason Jar boutique opening location in Sioux Falls in March

The boutique will take over the lease of the J. Ella Boutique at The Bridges on 57th Street and Western Avenue on March 6.

Owner Katie Wilson said she was contacted by the owner of J. Ella about the location and decided it was an offer she couldn't pass up.

"We had been looking in Sioux Falls for a while and it was too great not to do it," Wilson said. "The location is really good for what our demographics are."

Jael Thorpe, the owner of J. Ella Boutique, said she is excited to turn the storefront over to a longtime friend and mentor.

Windows Smashed in Early Morning Robbery at Historic Hoboken Storefront | TAPinto

HOBOKEN, NJ - In what appears to be a smash-and-grab incident, windows were shattered at one of Hoboken's longest-running businesses early Friday morning.

According to Hoboken Police spokesman, Lt. Danilo Cabrera, "there was an incident at Albini Pharmacy at about 4:30 AM. An unknown actor broke into the pharmacy and committed a theft. At this time the case is being investigated."

There is no word on what was taken from the storefront. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Hoboken Police Department at (201) 420-2100.
