What Happens To The Office Rental Marketplace In A Year Without Offices?

When your business is about getting companies into the best coworking spaces for their business needs, how do you survive three national lockdowns? That's been the challenge facing flexible office space provider Hubble since the start of 2020. Founded in 2014, the company was ranked the 26th fastest growing tech company in the U.K. in the 2019 Deloitte Technology Fast 50.

With home working set to feature heavily in the new world of work this challenge isn't going away, but it's not all doom and gloom for the company, which has pivoted to meet for the demands of the future workspace, as cofounder and CEO Tushar Agarwal explains.

OpenSea launched back in 2017, announcing a $2 million round a few months later from Founders Fund and a few crypto centric firms. Private Marketplace Needs to Make Its Own Decisions And Investments – Los Alamos Reporter

Hooray for the Council majority turning down the purchases of the CB Fox and Reel Deal buildings.  Too bad it happened after the waste of $50,000 of taxpayers' money, paid before they conducted the public survey to assess whether to do so. Not surprisingly, it was soundly rejected.

However, the two dissenting councilors want to waste still more money and time, refusing to accept the results of the county's own survey, and implying that the people who opposed it are misinformed rubes ("Just looking at stats in the survey for example, can lead to decisions that are unacceptable to Council or to (myself) as a community leader.").

How Leaf Group is tapping into its marketplace brands for ad deals

Commerce brands know how to sell products. Publishers know how to create large groups of passionate audiences. Both have access to valuable first-party data and media companies that have their hands in both are increasingly at an advantage for giving advertisers what they want.

Leaf Group is one of those companies that has a mix of both traditional media assets, like Hunker and Well+Good, and marketplace/commerce-focused sites like The Other Art Fair and Society6. Together, the company created a strategy that uses the operational strengths and first-party data from both sides of the business to sell advertisers on branded content deals.

San Rafael extends negotiations over downtown marketplace project

San Rafael officials have agreed to extend negotiations with a developer who wants to build 240 apartments and a 30,000-square-foot commercial space downtown.

The City Council voted unanimously to continue an exclusive negotiating agreement with developer Paul Goldstone of the Berkeley-based Goldstone Management Group. The extension gives Goldstone until June 6 to hammer out a deal with city officials over a city-owned parking garage.

Goldstone is hoping to buy the garage, near the intersection of Third Street and Lootens Plaza, and renovate it as part of the proposed complex. Negotiations began under an initial agreement with the city in November 2019.
