So far, though, the company is doing just fine. It reported just over $26 billion in revenue, an increase of 48 percent from last year. It also grew its user base to 1.88 billion daily active users, though growth in the U.S — its most lucrative ad market — remained flat. Of note, Facebook's "other" revenue grew 146 percent. The category accounts for Facebook's hardware sales, including its Oculus and Portal devices.

TrovaPage has no upfront cost to get set up and provides a complete e-commerce platform that allows entrepreneurs to build, market, and bill for services. Users' businesses range from yoga instruction and guitar lessons, to small restaurants, personalized astrology, and nonprofits.
Dapper Labs Reveals Plans For Next NFT Marketplace After NBA Top Shot
Today, Dapper Labs, the Vancouver-based startup best known as the creator of NBA Top Shot and CryptoKitties, popular marketplaces for tokenized digital collectibles known as NFTs, announced a partnership with the celebrity-driven avatar technology company Genies to build a new marketplace on Dapper Labs' Flow blockchain. Dapper Labs is currently valued at over $7.5 billion (according to a source familiar with the matter).
The new platform will be called the "Genies Marketplace", and it is aiming to become the "Amazon of Digital Wearable NFTs" where celebrities and, ultimately, all platform users can create and sell digital wearable NFT collections for their avatars, or digital alter-egos. Genies will also periodically have challenges for users to unlock special wearables. Dapper Labs and Genies hope to launch the beta version sometime in the third quarter. Financial details of the deal weren't disclosed.

Shapeways this morning confirmed earlier reports that it has entered into a deal to go public via SPAC . The model, which has become increasingly popular among tech companies in the past year, has already been taken up by a number of fellow 3D-printing companies, including Markforged and Desktop Metal.
"Our vision to enable anyone to rapidly transform digital designs to physical products is reaching a significant milestone today as we transition Shapeways into a public company," CEO Greg Kress said in a release tied to the news.

MERIDIAN TWP., Mich. — Meridian Twp. is seeking proposals from artists, designers, sculptors, fabricators, etc. to create a commissioned public art sculpture for Marketplace at the Green.
Marketplace on the Green, 1995 Central Park Dr., is the new Meridian Farmers Market which is held two days a week. The art would be installed in the area around the Marketplace Plaza.
The sculpture can be any medium but must be free-standing and large enough to be highly visible and identifiable. The sculpture needs to be durable and able to hold up to a high-traffic environment, potential vandalism, and extreme weather conditions.

NFTs are virtual items created on a blockchain—often used to certify unique ownership of a digital asset that could be anything from art, music, games, to sports trading cards. What consumer spending says about economic recovery - Marketplace
We often talk about retail sales numbers . Those come out monthly and tell us mainly whether people are buying goods, which they've done a lot of during the pandemic.
"Goods spending was very strong," said Dana Peterson, chief economist at The Conference Board, a nonprofit research group. "People bought cars, they bought appliances. They bought lawn furniture. They bought boats and RVs."
But the data we’re getting Friday, the consumer spending numbers , are more heavily weighted toward services, like bars, restaurants, hair salons, amusement parks and theaters. Call it the experience economy — which didn't do so well during the pandemic.
