An increasing number of states have legalised or are considering legalising recreational marijuana, and public concern over the risks of cannabis use has declined in recent years, Trangenstein and colleagues note. However, research continues to find cannabis use associated with negative outcomes. These include neuropsychiatric conditions, automobile crashes and substance use disorders.

San Francisco Mayor London Breed signed legislation Friday to provide $10.9 million in financial relief to more than 1,400 small businesses struggling due to the Covid-19 pandemic, making it the city's largest program to date during the crisis.
The program, which opens Friday , will offer grants between $5,000 and $25,000 based on employee count prior to the pandemic. It will prioritize storefront businesses that have received little funding from local and federal sources so far, those were closed at least six months due to public safety mandates, long established businesses and those in high-need neighborhoods.

Mission Kids Preschool's enrollment is about 40 percent Latinx, 15 percent Black, and 15 percent Asian or Pacific Islander, and more than 75 percent of these families get tuition subsidies.

Ron Smith is opening Pebblehurst Golf & Putter Lab at 2915 Linden Ave. in Homewood. A soft opening is April 10, and regular store hours begin April 12.
The 1,200-square-foot store will offer a golf simulator, custom putters and clubs, brands not easily found in Alabama and the latest in golf apparel and accessories. Three employees will work in the store, and PGA-certified golf instructors will be available by appointment.
