Going maskless: reaction from customers and workers

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - It was 399 days ago that New Yorkers were ordered to wear face coverings in public to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Wednesday, new rules took effect and people we spoke with had different reactions.

New York is the latest state to adopt the CDC's guidelines, which say that fully vaccinated people no longer have to wear a mask in most places.

20 Percent of Switch Sales Are to Customers Who Already Own One - ExtremeTech

A recently translated document from Nintendo’s quarterly conference call indicates the gaming company has hit a milestone Sony or Microsoft might well envy: 20 percent of its Switch sales are to households that already own at least one Switch.

“In the previous fiscal year, household demand for multiple systems accounted for roughly 20% of unit sales of the Nintendo Switch family of systems,” Shuntaro Furukawa, Nintendo’s president, is quoted as saying. “Going forward, we expect demand for multiple systems per household will increase even as hardware unit sales grow.”

Puget Sound Energy continues bill assistance for customers impacted by COVID-19 - The B-Town

Recognizing that many families are still struggling financially due to COVID-19 and will likely continue to do so even as the economy recovers, Puget Sound Energy announced this week that it is making an additional $27.7 million in bill payment assistance available through its COVID Bill Assistance Program.

This builds off the more than $9 million in bill assistance PSE gave to more than 15,000 customers from April through September of 2020.

Ford wires its electric trucks for business customers | Reuters

Ford officially unveiled the battery electric F-150 Lightning model on Wednesday evening, after giving it a cameo appearance during President Joe Biden's visit on Tuesday to the Rouge manufacturing complex in Dearborn, Michigan, where the trucks will be assembled beginning next year.

Ford expects to boost annual production of the electric F-150 to 40,000 vehicles or more, starting in 2023, according to Sam Fiorani, head of global vehicle forecasting at AutoForecast Solutions.

Frontier sued for allegedly misleading customers on internet speeds - CNET

"The FTC alleges Frontier did not provide many consumers with the maximum speeds they were promised, and the speeds they actually received often fell far short of what was touted in the plans they purchased," the FTC said in a press release Wednesday.

Since 2015, the FTC said, thousands of Frontier customers have complained that their DSL service isn't as fast as the speeds they were promised when signing up.

Personal Interaction with Customers is Still Important for HVAC Distributors | 2021-05-19 | ACHR

I realize that we are still in a worldwide pandemic and understand the seriousness of this deadly virus, but I cannot stress the importance of being physically seen by your customers . Zoom and Teams meetings have their place and are a great way to stay in contact, but it doesn't replace being in front of your customers.

Humans need interactions. We are social creatures and need to have contact with others. You can do this safely; it can be done responsibly. You just need to follow the COVID-19 guidelines.
