Storefront window exhibit ‘Wise, Gifted and Black’ opens at the M – Twin Cities

This group of women elders worked with teaching artists at the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center in St.

Storefront grants give East Side small businesses needed boost

SAN ANTONIO – After the winter storm in February, Ruth Martin said her insurance company would only cover a portion of the damage to her small business. The rest was up to her.

Since 2010, SAGE has awarded $1.4 million to more than 150 small businesses, said Lindsey Logan, who oversees the storefront grant program.

Pickup truck crashes into Legacy Nutrition and vacant storefront on Rt.

TOWN OF AMSTERDAM — A healthy shake shop on Route 30 will be closed until further notice after a pickup truck was driven into the store and a neighboring vacant storefront on Tuesday evening.

Renee Taylor, 59, of Amsterdam, was attempting to pull into a parking space at KEM Plaza located at 4803 Route 30 on Tuesday at approximately 5:53 p.m. when the accident occurred, according to Trooper Kerra Burns, state police public information officer.

Former Newport UPS franchisee fined $850 for mask violations - VTDigger

The former owner of Newport's UPS franchise, sued by the state over violating pandemic mask-wearing rules , must now pay $850.

That was the ruling of Orleans County Judge Mary Miles Teachout on Thursday during the final hearing of Vermont's lone legal challenge to mask requirements enacted during the Covid-19 pandemic.
