‘Stay local’: Norfolk native turns home-based business into storefront boutique in

Store owner Amanda Wegener said she has been running the store out of her home for a couple of years, but decided to make a storefront for her hometown.

"Out at the mall there's not very many options, and I know a lot of my friends go out of town to shop and we always went to Omaha to shop," said Wegener. "So I like being able to provide it here and stay local."

Holyoke's Paper City Clothing unveils storefront redecorated by local youth

HOLYOKE — For the past few weeks, Paper City Clothing Company's storefront has been closed. White paper covered the store's windows as teens and young adults worked to give the store a total makeover.

The Sneaker Culture event is in line with Paper City Clothing Company's mission: to support teens and young adults in Holyoke and help them build communities around their interests (like sneaker collecting).

Prairie Pride Farm opens Mankato storefront

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Prairie Pride Farm began selling pork and free-range chicken products at Mankato Farmer's Market in the late 1990s, best-known for their GMO-free meat products raised without antibiotics.

"We have a very diverse line of pork products we produce including pork chops, lots of sausages, bacon, jerky," said Praire Pride Farm Co-Owner Paul Hubmer.

Arts patron turns her focus to hooking up small business entrepreneurs with vacant retail spaces

Storefront Manitoba launches its Cool Gardens Exhibition

Storefront Manitoba is launching its 7th annual Cool Gardens Exhibition featuring installations throughout Downtown Winnipeg. Cool Gardens 2021 will include the remounting of three gardens displayed in previous years at the Forks along with two new installations.

RetreeWPG aims to bring awareness to Winnipeg's declining tree canopy. Throughout the city, green and yellow abstract tree shapes have been formed with tree flagging tape.

Jeff Ruby's Restaurant relocating to The Foundry

CINCINNATI –  Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse is the latest restaurant to announce plans to open at the The Foundry development at Fountain Square.

The restaurant will relocate from its current Walnut Street location in late 2022, according to Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment (JRCE). It will occupy a street-level storefront along Vine Street directly across from Fountain Square.

Watecha Bowl shuts down food trucks to focus on Sioux Falls, Rapid City expansions

The Watecha Bowl food truck started business only a year and a half ago, with owner Lawrence West renovating an RV into a mobile kitchen.

Now, West is leaving that stage of his Lakota-style restaurant behind so he can focus solely on opening storefronts across South Dakota.
