Facebook Marketplace sale leads to man being robbed at gunpoint; suspect charged - mlive.com

The evening of July 1, a 19-year-old man went to an agreed upon meet-up spot on 15th Street near Wadsworth Road. He had previously arranged to buy an SSR Motorsports SR 125 "pit bike" on Facebook Marketplace, prosecutors said.

As the buyer was in the street, he was approached by two men, one of whom held a gun to his head. The two men proceeded to rob the buyer of cash and a handgun he had brought to the meet-up, prosecutors said.

Marketplace For Fashion-Forward Consumers With Disabilities Pushes Function Over Form During

Back in 2017, Alexandra Herold launched an online marketplace with a mission: selling adaptive apparel for adults and kids with disabilities. More than that, the products would be both functional—think shirts with magnetic buttons—and fashionable, as well.

The work with JCPenney started last year, when a friend introduced her to a team at the retailer creating a new inclusive kids clothing brand with adaptive-friendly features, like seaming for sensory-sensitive children and easier-to-access openings; the line was introduced in July.

The boom in luxury resale comes with an expensive problem: fighting fakes . Grailed, a menswear-focused marketplace, just raised $60 million in funding to do, in part, just that.
