City Launches Downtown Revitalization Projects — City of Albuquerque

The City of Albuquerque's Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency is launching two downtown revitalization initiatives this fall to support economic recovery and boost activity in the city center.

The City has $500,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funding to use toward grants of up to $30,000 each for small businesses that occupy vacant street-level property or that expand a current downtown storefront footprint by at least 50 percent.

New businesses set to open in St. Albans

ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A popular food truck company has announced plans to open a storefront location in St. Albans.

Crafts of the Coal, which operates currently as a mobile trailer, will open an in-store location at 78 Olde Main Plaza.

Owners say the location is set to open in November. The food truck will continue to operate in addition to the new permanent location.

Pop-up spot in Orlando's Milk District aims to help small businesses get their start - Orlando

A fter a year of serving culture in coffee, Jackie Nguyen has found a permanent home for her mobile Vietnamese cafe in the Columbus Park neighborhood, she said, but the actress-turned-activist plans to take an unconventional route to opening the storefront.

"I want to create a different path and show that minority, first-generation women can start a business and be very successful in it," said Nguyen, who founded Cafe Cà Phê in fall 2020 after the pandemic paused her stage career.
