Best Buy to review third-party marketplace after CBC investigation finds damaged products | CBC

Despite Best Buy offering refurbished devices it claims can be "like new" on its third-party marketplace, a CBC Marketplace investigation found some products were anything but.

Following repeated complaints of faulty devices from viewers, CBC's Marketplace purchased 12 of what Best Buy calls "Grade A" refurbished devices from its third-party marketplace and had them independently reviewed by industry experts.

Sandro's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant is a new restaurant from Alessandro Pugliese, who also owns Sal's Jr. in Fairlawn. Pugliese said the menu at Sandro's is similar, featuring New York-style pizza and classic Italian dishes.

Sandro's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant, which also includes a full service bar, can seat around 100 people inside. Owner Alessandro Pugliese said he plans to add patio seating soon.

Event Planning Marketplace The Vendry Secures $6.5 Million

The Vendry — a marketplace and professional community for corporate event planners — announced it closed a $6.5 million seed funding round led by Peter Boyce, Founder of Stellation Capital.

OpenSea, the largest NFT marketplace, is selling artwork praising Hitler – The Forward

( JTA ) — OpenSea, the world's largest marketplace for non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, has been allowing the sale and trade of antisemitic and Nazi-glorifying artwork.

The American start-up, which has a $1.5 billion valuation, is the biggest trader of NFTs, which are digital artworks that can be bought with cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and, more commonly, ethereum. Some items have been sold for millions of US dollars.
