Dollar General has become a retail empire by building small stores in rural towns across America to attract mainly low-income shoppers.

Now, the company will expand its push to win wealthier customers in the suburbs using a new store model and name: Popshelf.

Walmart evacuates customers over 'suspicious package' full of trash - The Dispatch

Walmart on Highway 45 North evacuated its customers and closed for about 90 minutes Saturday due to a suspicious package outside that turned out to be overflow trash.

An off-duty Columbus police officer saw a black bag sitting next to a garbage can near one of the building's front entrances at about 1:30 p.m. and reported it to store employees inside, Police Chief Fred Shelton told The Dispatch. Management then opted to evacuate the store.

Utility customers in Radford have a new after-hours phone number to call for non-emergency

RADFORD, Va. (WFXR) – Government officials within the City of Radford say they have contracted with a new professional call center to take any after-hours calls regarding non-emergency information regarding utility service in the city.

The old number, 540-731-3624, will still be used but only during normal business hours for non-emergency information.

Canada Goose sparks controversy in China for 'bullying' customers with alleged discriminatory

In her social media post, the customer from Shanghai claimed she tried to return the item she purchased in October after finding issues with its smell and errors in its embroidered logo.

According to the company's website in China, however, customers may return items to the store where they were purchased within 30 days. Returns must meet certain return conditions, such as being unworn, unwashed and having the original tags still intact.

Huntington's new Sundae Donuts shop dazzling customers with 'crazy' surprises
