This one practice can help lenders stop losing customers - HousingWire

With so many choices out there, I dove into the process eager to compare cars and costs to narrow down the best options for my needs. Thanks to the fact that most auto retailers list their product and pricing online, this process was easy for me to complete on my own time.

However, consider the sharp contrast between online vehicle shopping and the typical mortgage shopping experience. When customers expect complete transparency and convenience (think the Amazon experience), it's remarkable most lenders have kept many of their current practices this long.

Microsoft to try to push business customers to longer-term subscriptions via price increases |

Target extends hours for Houston-area customers, providing extra holiday shopping time

Target announced last week they have extended hours to accommodate shoppers this holiday season, USA Today reported.

In a statement obtained by USA Today, Target plans to open from 7 a.m. until midnight through Dec. 23.

This is the earliest they have extended, as last year they began to extend hours on Dec.11, closing at 10 p.m.

Verizon Opts Wireless Customers Into Data-Collecting Program | PCMag

Verizon Wireless customers should probably take a look at their account settings. Input reports that the carrier has automatically enrolled its customers in a new data-collection program called Verizon Custom Experience.

The company says in a support article that "your participation in our Custom Experience programs helps us personalize our communications with you, give you more relevant product and service recommendations, and develop plans, services, and offers that are more appealing to you.
