Sculptors are featured in Art in the Storefront – thereporteronline

AMBLER — Sculptors Jim Victor and Marie Pelton are the featured artists in an Art in the Storefront exhibit beginning on Friday, July 15.

The Opening Reception is at 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 41 E. Butler Ave., Ambler, which is adjacent to Denney Electric Supply. The community is invited to attend and light refreshments will be served.

Pâtisserie opens storefront location in Albuquerque - Albuquerque Journal

For the past two years, the pastries of Blue Door Pâtisserie could be found displayed inside glass cases at Albuquerque's Sawmill Market near Old Town.

Owner Jove Hubbard, who spent much of his career working for hotels in Chicago and New Orleans, said he was drawn to pastry while in culinary school due to the precision of the craft.

Local crystal shop Lily Rose Jewelry to open in downtown St. Pete this summer — St.

Lily Rose Jewelry Co will open at 209 1st Avenue North in downtown St. Pete. The space was formerly home to Karma Juice Bar and Eatery.

Later this summer, a local family-owned company that designs and hand-makes crystal jewelry will open its first storefront in downtown St. Pete.

Racist sign on Millinocket storefront sparks backlash | National and World | sentinelsource.com

BANGOR, Maine — A closed sign taped to the door of the Harry E Reed Insurance Agency in Millinocket, Maine, Monday has raised the ire of local officials and residents for its racist messaging.

"Juneteenth - it's whatever... We're closed. Enjoy your fried chicken and collard greens," the sign stated in a large font on a piece of white printer paper.

Sometimes Maura McCarthy's ice cream melts before customers can pick it up. Her Bold Batch Creamery currently operates like a pop-up, with customers pre-ordering pints a week in advance and then meeting her in a parking lot during a tight window, ideally before the ice creams melt in her cooler.

The surprisingly good OnePlus Nord N20 5G is now available unlocked

One of my favorite phones of the year (so far) can now be bought outside carrier stores.

In case you missed it, the N20 5G landed back in April to not much fanfare. When all we had were specs, the phone sounded so-so, running 2020's version of Android and equipped with the usual superfluous rear cameras. But, its individually underwhelming details came together beautifully.

Knoxville City Council Approves Storefront and Facade Grants | KNIA KRLS Radio - The One to Count On

The Knoxville City Council approved more storefronts and a Facade Improvement grant this week. Knoxville Economic Development Director Glenn Lyons spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the grants.

"There were six storefront improvement grants approved. Most of the projects involved replacing windows and doors along with other improvements. Then we also approved a facade improvement grant that is the larger of the two grants for $12,500.
