Exeter LitFest has launched its inaugural Storefront Poetry project as an extension of its annual literary festival held in April. More than 30 downtown businesses and restaurants have signed up for the project, and poems are now on display throughout downtown Exeter. According to LitFest Board Chair Renay Allen, the project is a natural extension of the organization's mission, putting the creative works of local writers in a prominent place for an entire month.
The Storefront Poetry project is an innovative way to showcase the literary talents of Exeter's residents and businesses. By displaying poems in storefront windows, the project brings poetry to the public and makes it accessible to everyone. The project also provides an opportunity for local writers to share their work with a wider audience and gain exposure for their creative talents.
The poems on display are a reflection of the diverse voices and experiences of Exeter's community. They cover a range of themes, including love, ⁙⁙⁙, identity, and social justice. ← →
