It's the first thing you step on when you get out of the shower or bathtub, and the only thing standing between you and a cold floor (or a wet one) — a small, but essential luxury.

When you're decorating a bathroom, think of the bathmat as "a little art piece," said Clodagh , a New York-based interior designer. "Keep the towels simple, but have a little fun on the floor."
That's what she did at the Six Senses Kaplankaya resort in Turkey, for instance: In bathrooms that were otherwise minimalist, she installed striped, flat-weave cotton mats, for a little kick of character.

5 Grocery Shopping Mistakes You've Got to Stop Making
Making a grocery list might seem like adding one more thing to your endless to-dos, but a list will save you both time and money. Here's how: If you hit the store without a list, you are more likely to go up and down almost every aisle, assuming that when you see the item you need, it will spark your memory and you'll be simply grab it.
But chances are that not only will you likely forget at least one item you need, potentially necessitating another shopping trip, but also that you will do significantly more impulse buying along the way. Jot down your list, if possible, in groupings that are likely to be found together or near each other in the store (produce/household supplies/canned goods/dairy/etc.) and stick to the list when you shop.
Tips On How To Keep Your Reusable Shopping Bags Clean
This week Wegmans stopped offering plastic bags at check-out to its customers and by March 1st all stores in New York State will no longer offer plastic bags, so how do you keep your reusable bags clean?
* * *
1. Canvas bags
These are, by far, the easiest to clean. Just toss them in the washing machine and launder in hot water with detergent. Then, run them through the dryer.
2. Recycled plastic bags
You should wash anything made from recycled plastic containers (a.k.a. polypropylene bags) by hand in warm soapy water and line dry it. Don't forget about the inner and outer seams, where crud can hide and collect.
