MADISON, Wis. — No injuries were reported after a brick facade fell from an east side storefront Saturday night.
According to a release from the Madison Fire Department, officials responded to a report of a facade falling off a storefront at 1941 Winnebago Street shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday.
The release said the facade collapsed all at once and comprised the 5 feet by 30 feet upper exterior of the store.

“People know this place just by the floor,” Dugan laughed, as she gestured to the vintage linoleum flooring, with its vivid red and harvest gold tiles, in her and Conklin’s shared studio at 823 Washington St. “There’s this one guy in town who knows all sorts of history about this space. He told us the flooring was originally installed in 1949, and said, ‘Whatever you do, don’t mess it up.”

ZEELAND TWP. — An online pet store specializing in reptiles recently moved its operation from Hudsonville to Zeeland Township, with plans to expand and open a storefront.
Pangea Reptile started in 2001 and is one of the largest online sellers of reptile food, products and quality geckos. The business purchased space at the end of 2019 on Pentatech Drive in Zeeland Township where the Lakeshore Candle Co. was formerly located.
Pangea Reptile is investing nearly $1.3 million to expand its existing facilities in the township by about 17,000 square feet while adding 13 new jobs to its existing staff of 25.

In 2012, the McDonough 35 High School and Dillard University graduate lost her job as a cocktail waitress. Cojoe decided to invest the small amount of money she had into her fashion business – a dream she had since she was 12 years old.
