COVID-19 impacts Memorial Day shopping | KOB 4
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — In previous years, Old Town would usually be packed with shoppers celebrating the unofficial start of summer during Memorial Day weekend. This year, however, many businesses were not able to take advantage of the holiday foot traffic.
"This should be crowded. There should be people out here shopping, and we should be moving forward. I'm kind of disappointed,” said Dennis Flubacher, a shopper.
Flubacher said he expected Saturday to be like any other Memorial Day weekend—with Old Town bustling.

The demand for online shopping has obviously increased since COVID-19 restrictions were put in place.
But less obvious are the subtle psychological drivers behind our collective online shopping splurge. In fact, online shopping can relieve stress, provide entertainment and offers the reduced "pain" of paying online.

The New York Jets will listen to any trade offers but are "not going to shop" safety Jamal Adams despite the All-Pro's potential interest in being dealt, Yahoo Sports reported early Saturday.
Per the report, Adams wants to be traded if his contract is not extended before the 2020 season, but the Jets would prefer to keep Adams and sign him to an extension in 2021. In the meantime, the Jets will not shop Adams, and his agent does not have permission to seek a deal, but they'll listen to teams that call.

Thrift Shop to open June 2 - Delphos Herald
We will resume our normal shopping hours, which are Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-4 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
Unless things change by order of the governor, we will allow 30 people in the shop at a time. (One person from each family so as to give everybody adequate time to shop.) After the first 30 are in the store, we will take names and cellphone numbers of the next people and call each person when someone leaves. Customers can wait in the comfort of their car until they are called. This would be kind of like how restaurants do when they have people waiting to get in to dine.
What you need to know about retail shopping: The Oregonian/OregonLive's guide to reopening -
As Oregon begins to reopen, residents are increasingly going to have the opportunity to shop in-person. The Oregonian/OregonLive asked experts about the safety of going out in Oregon today. Here's what they -- and the latest body of scientific studies -- say:
The governor as of May 15 allowed all retail stores -- with the exception of cosmetic stores -- to resume operations in every county in the state. That includes the entire Portland area.
But experts caution that walking into a retail store is a lot like entering a restaurant or workplace: They're all enclosed spaces.
