Made Local Marketplace closing in Santa Rosa before it turns 10

Made Local Marketplace, downtown Santa Rosa's retail oasis for artists/makers and for shoppers of gifts and other products that aren't mass-produced, was poised to celebrate its 10th anniversary later this year.

But it is not to be. The Fourth Street consignment store filled with art, jewelry and all sorts of gifts, wares and foods created by hundred of locals is set to close at the end of June.

Australian government to build AU$4.3 million online microcredentials marketplace | ZDNet

The Australian government has announced it will sink AU$4.3 million to build and run a one-stop shop online marketplace for microcredentials.

According to the federal government, this marketplace will be designed to provide a nationally consistent platform to allow students to compare course outcomes, duration, mode of delivery, and credit point value.

Currently, 54 providers have created 344 short online courses. As at June 22, IT short courses are the third most popular offering with 68 courses.

Phase II on the horizon at The Marketplace at Locust Grove Shops – Moving Henry Forward

The Marketplace at Locust Grove Shops is planning a January 2021 availability date for phase II of their retail space, adding 13,286 square feet of new construction. The existing phase I opened in 2012 with 28,213 SF and features well-known tenants such as Little Caesars and Dollar Tree.

Available spaces include an end cap with pick up window and inline space with 1,560 SF. Leasing information is available through LoopNet .

How hucksters and would-be profiteers invaded California's online COVID-19 marketplace |

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — In early April, Gov. Gavin Newsom launched a website where people and companies could help California gear up for the coronavirus pandemic.

The portal was designed as a marketplace for middlemen, manufacturers and business giants to pitch deals and donations with the state, which was scrambling to obtain medical supplies to fight COVID-19.

Someone in Los Angeles found seven masks while cleaning out an apartment and asked to donate them. A Santa Rosa resident offered an ice machine, an orthopedic boot and two N95 masks that were leftover from the 2017 wildfires.
