It's official: TikTok's days in the U.S. are numbered - Marketplace
Late Thursday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order, banning the social media app TikTok in 45 days. TikTok is owned by the Chinese company ByteDance and the administration says a Chinese company having access to Americans’ data is a national security threat. Trump also put a clock on WeChat, the popular Chinese texting app.
Microsoft is in talks to buy the parts of TikTok that operate in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand, but what that deal would look like? Who knows? It is a good topic for "Quality Assurance," where we take a second look at a big tech story.

The dealer can then dynamically retarget the shoppers the same way as they would with Automotive Inventory Ads. By tracking user’s vehicle views and engagement on Marketplace, dealerships can deliver targeted ads showing the same vehicles the shoppers showed interest in until a conversion is complete.
Since opening the C2MP campaigns up to more dealer-partners , Dealers United is continuing to see an average lead cost that is lower than On-Facebook Lead campaigns. On average, their dealer-partners are realizing 19% reductions in Cost Per View metrics, and 69% reductions in Cost Per Leads, compared to website traffic campaigns.

The Economy Reimagined, Part 1: Dealing With Inequality - Marketplace
David Brancaccio: In 2015, researchers working with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston set out to measure the wealth of households. Questions like: How's your savings? Do you own a house, a car, maybe some appraised jewelry? Subtract what people owe, and that's called net worth. For the typical Boston-area white household, it's $247,500. The median net worth of Black households in the region? $8.
This is about race. And experts say it's not only about race. I'm David Brancaccio, host of “Marketplace Morning Report.”
AINsight: Market-maker vs Marketplace | Business Aviation: Aviation International News
Some might say we are flying blind with respect to preowned business aircraft values and activity today and in the near future. But I am not willing to go there—I absolutely do not believe we are flying blind and I firmly believe that values and activity can be pegged.
There is no doubt that we—both as a country and world at large—do not fully comprehend where the right-hand bracket on Covid-19 is yet in respect to aircraft values. However, I refuse to close my eyes and allow myself to just bump into unidentified circumstances while flying blind.
New Survey Finds 1 in 5 Potential Marketplace and Medicaid Enrollees Used Consumer Assistance,
A new KFF survey finds that nearly one in five potential marketplace and Medicaid enrollees – an estimated 7 million people – say that they got assistance applying for Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace plans or Medicaid in the past year, while one in eight – an estimated 5 million – tried and failed to obtain help.
The survey suggests a shortage of consumer assistance prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has disrupted job-based health insurance for millions of Americans. Consumer assistance programs could help people shopping for replacement coverage understand and evaluate their options.
