Black Friday Shopper Insights Traffic Analytics Data Released

Sensormatic Solutions released preliminary shopper visit data for US brick-and-mortar retail stores and shopping centers on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. Findings indicate that shopper visits resulted in a 52.1% decline in traffic on Black Friday, November 27, compared to 2019. Shopper traffic also decreased 45.2% week-to-date (Sunday, November 22 – Friday, November 27) compared to the same period last year.

“Due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, shoppers were more purposeful in their in-person Black Friday shopping, causing significantly less crowds than we’ve seen in the past,” said Brian Field, senior director of global retail consulting for Sensormatic Solutions. “This was compounded by retailers not offering as many in-store doorbusters and the increasing adoption of e-commerce.”

Fairhaven Police Investigate Stabbing Linked to Facebook Marketplace Sale – NBC Boston

Fireflies Boutique, located at 5323 Main Street in Spring Hill, has announced the boutique will transition into an online store, with new plans for the storefront.

The storefront will close to the public becoming an event space, and a place for pop-up shops. It will take a couple of months for the store to transition and no exact date was given on the closure of the storefront.

Fireflies made the announcement via Facebook , calling it a “scary but necessary decision.”

Southern Christmas Show Holds Virtual Storefront

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Southern Christmas Show usually attracts more than a hundred vendors and thousands of people, but organizers had to adjust it this year due to the pandemic.

Teresa Thibault owns Heart Gifts, also known as American Ornaments in Kannapolis. Her and her staff decorate all of their ornaments by hand, and for the last 27 years, she has been bringing those special gifts to the Southern Christmas Show in Charlotte. This year however, that changed.

The new Dunkin' restaurant -- to be located in a storefront that formerly housed Neighborhood Housing Services at 770 Castleton Ave. -- is expected to open sometime between Christmas and New Years, according to the spokesperson for the restaurant chain.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- As many businesses struggle to survive amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, a popular coffee and donut chain is opening a new restaurant in West Brighton.

The location will be one of Dunkin's next-generation restaurants that offer a modern atmosphere with new technologies and design elements, said the spokesperon. The West Brighton Dunkin' will include an innovative tap system serving eight cold beverages, such as Cold Brew coffee and Nitro Cold Brew coffee, according to the company.
