Quite a lot has been going on:

What does 'analytics' mean anyway? - Pinstripe Alley

I'm going to give you two players, both of whom play first base, and I want you to tell me who you'd rather have starting every day for the New York Yankees .

* * *

Well that's not very helpful, is it? You have no information, you're flipping a coin between two players and hoping for the best. Let's add some information.

Player A is a right handed hitter. Player B is a left handed hitter. Is that a little more helpful? We have a little more information, we can add it to what we already know — Yankee Stadium is generally friendlier to lefty hitters, for example. This is going to influence our decision on who starts. But what if we had even more information?

Cubs News: Why they should value intangibles over analytics

Today’s baseball era calls for some teams to value analytics rather than a traditional approach of playing with instinctive strategies to win games. In my opinion, this is a flawed concept which the Chicago Cubs should stay away from.

In Game 6 of the World Series, Cash pulled starter Blake Snell after he gave up his second hit while striking out nine batters in 5 1/3 shutout innings. Even though Snell held the first three Dodgers’ hitters to a combined 0-for-6 with six strikeouts on the night, Cash chose to go to his bullpen because that’s what his analytical approach told him to do.

Google Analytics 4 leverages machine learning for business intelligence and new reports

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the newest version of Google Analytics, available for those Universal Analytics accounts using the gtag.js website tracking tag, websites that implement manual tagging, or apps using the Firebase SDK . It's also the default interface for all new properties in Google Analytics.

Long-time users of Analytics will find they'll need to take some time to explore the new setup and find reports that they may have found quickly before. Gone are the tabs for Audience, Behavior, and Conversions. While GA4 retains the Acquisition menu, you'll now also find Engagement, Monetization, and Retention. Each of these tabs give a roll-up overview dashboard.

Microsoft Clarity is a free analytics tool that provides insights into how users are interacting with a site. Engagement metrics, website performance data and debugging information give an idea of how to improve web pages.

Amazingly, there are no traffic caps. Even a site with a million visitors a day can use it. Additionally, it is said to be optimized to not slow sites down.

“Clarity is designed to have a very low impact on page load times, so you can make sure users navigating to your site won’t have to wait for pages to load.
