The NBA had not even officially announced the lifting of the trade moratorium, and the Los Angeles Lakers already were making a move to strengthen their championship roster.
With the trade market expected to open at noon Monday, the defending champs reportedly already have a deal in place to acquire Dennis Schröder from the Oklahoma City Thunder. According to ESPN, the Lakers would send Long Island native Danny Green and the No. 28 overall pick in Wednesday's draft to the rebuilding Thunder for Schröder, who excelled as a scoring point guard this past season.

Christmas comes but once a year and already, Northlanders are gearing up to get their trees. On Saturday, the Duluth Farmer’s Market welcomed people to their opening day of Christmas tree shopping.
Joel Holman and Kathy Kates of Duluth were the first two customers to arrive. They said it is a tradition of theirs to shop locally.
“Everything here is handmade, homemade from nature,” Kates said. “The smell and the greenery in the house really kind of takes me back to my childhood memories.”
